Chadwick Shepherd – Founder & Product Designer, Everlove TeaMy life has been an unfolding journey of discovery—one that has taken me across the world, from safeguarding people and Fortune 500 companies to uncovering the deeper beauty found in cultures, traditions, and craftsmanship. It was during these travels, through China and Japan, that I was captivated by something far more profound than I had anticipated: the world of tea.For years, my life ran on the high-octane fuel of hyper-caffeinated coffee—there was no slow sipping, only rapid consumption. But then, something changed. Sitting in a quiet teahouse, I found myself transfixed—not just by the tea itself, but by the experience. The quiet artistry of the brewing process, the way the teaware was chosen with care, the fragrance rising from the cup, and the unspoken rhythm of conversation (or sometimes, the contemplative silence) created something rare: presence. Tea had a way of demanding attention without force—of slowing the world down just enough to make each moment matter.Meanwhile, my brother had been cultivating our shared childhood passion for product design, and it was through this merging of worlds—ancient tea traditions and modern craftsmanship—that Everlove Tea began to take shape. The rich histories of China and Japan, the philosophies of their scholars and poets, and the artisans who devoted their lives to perfection all left a deep imprint on me.
